Here is another example of a recently completed custom canopy for a 2017 Toyota Landcruiser 70 series. The canopy was fitted with a simple dual drawer setup inside for extra storage with plenty of open space for all the customers gear. As he stated, plenty of room for his mate when he’s in the dog house. Yep, sure is!

As per usual, we built a strong frame, sheeted the canopy with marine grade aluminium, welded it all together and prepared it for a custom paint job.

Before we send our canopies off for paint, if the customer’s car is available we always like to test fit the canopy to the vehicle. This allows for us to adjust our mounting kit in preparation of the canopies return and check that always fits well.

Off to Paint it went…

Small imperfections made perfect and ready for colour.

The Canopy arrives back from paint looking smick. The Canopy was colour matched to the factory charcoal of the Toyota Landcruiser. The wheel guards, toolboxes and jerry can holders were then colour matched to the alternate silver that Toyota had chosen to paint the front wheel guards. It provides an excellent contrast and continues to enhance the factory look.

We then commenced fitting out the canopy with the toolboxes, handles and required accessories. This particular customer wanted a pretty straight forward canopy with loads of internal space, some heavy duty drawers for specific items, toolbox storage underneath, remote central locking / alarm, solar panels, dc-charger with cigarette lighter plug and USB outlets with the ability to connect dual batteries.
